Update on Street Repaving in Bryn Du Woods, Summer of 2007:

The Village of Granville contracted the Shelly Company to perform the milling and paving in the Bryn Du Subdivision and as you have noticed we have experienced serious problems with the base under the pavement due to high levels of ground water. Because of this, we will have to stabilize the base with a cement mixture of sixteen inches, after the stabilization it will be topped with four inches of a limestone base, 301 asphalt and finished with an asphalt final coat.

The stabilization will take two days, July 5th and July 6th the contractor will work 7:00AM to 7:00PM. During this time, you will not be able to enter or exit your driveways. The stabilization will take two hours to setup before it can be driven on. We are asking that you park at the end of the areas that are being stabilized between these times. The stabilization area runs approximately from Derwyn Del Way to Glyn Tawel Drive.

I realize this is a significant inconvenience but it is the quickest and most cost effective way to complete this project. The total project could take two to three weeks to complete.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 587-1880 or Cell 404-0283.

Street Repaving in Bryn Du Woods, Summer of 2007:

The Shelly Company anticipates starting the milling in Bryn Du on June 18 - 19 and paving beginning June 20 -26.  The contractor is scheduled to work four (4), ten (10) hour days beginning on Monday, June 18th.  The Bryn Du development will be the first subdivision completed in their schedule.  The contract calls for milling and paving of the original development roadways, including Bryn Du Drive and the west Glyn Tawel loop.  Additionally, we may see some savings due to other roadway improvement modifications to the contract and may do Trem Pell and Derwyn while they are in the area.  I will confirm this as we get closer to the start date.
Letters will be issued to all the residents in the construction area early next week.

I hope this information is helpful.  If you have any further questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Molly Roberts
